Implicit Bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner.

Understanding implicit bias and how it impacts our decisions is key to fostering more inclusive workplaces, practices and leadership, thus boosting team productivity and contributing to success.

The reality is that we all have bias (often it is invisible to those who have it!), and our unconscious is more powerful than you think. Biases in the workplace, such as stereotypes you have formed about a person who is different from you, can unfortunately form barriers that not only prevent you working effectively with someone else, but also damage the development of inclusive relationships that foster creative and innovative ideas.

The good news is that you can train your unconscious.

This workshop, led by My Holland, CEO of EQuest Asia, focuses on the implicit attitudes or stereotypes that shape how we engage others and make decisions in the workplace. We will cover a range of topics, all the way from understanding bias and how it is formed in our unconscious, to how biases influence how we interact and behave around various groups of people, how to mitigate implicit bias using simple hacks and strategies, and the benefits that self-awareness and acceptance brings not only to the individual but the whole team.
