In our final theme for 2023 we explore Courage and Optimism. As mentioned in our earlier cafe’s this year, Optimism can help people see the possibilities and opportunities that the future holds, even in the face of uncertainty or adversity. This positive outlook can create a sense of hope and excitement about what’s to come, which in turn can foster trust in oneself and in others.
We have explored Purpose and Trust, together with Optimism, and now we embark on Courage and how you can activate your courage by using the feelings Optimism provides.
Courage and Optimism give us the opportunity to act from our heart with a sense that it will work out for us. If we think about the word courage and the latin word “Cor”, which means heart, Courage is acting from our heart. The early definition of courage was “to speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart”. If we use this notion of courage being acting or telling from our heart, we can see the thread of engaging trust and aligning with our purpose utilizes courage.
In this Café we will discover:
- The link between Courage and Optimism and the role of purpose and trust in activating our courage.
- Three questions to support activating your courage
- What internal talents we can engage to support ourselves in activating our courage.
